Settled on Kikuyu and decided you’d like to lay the turf yourself? Follow these simple steps to establish a beautiful lawn. First, spray the area with a weed killer to eliminate any unwanted vegetation. Ensure you have a sufficient layer of quality soil, ideally between 100-150 mm in thickness. Next, incorporate a complete lawn fertiliser and water storage crystals into the soil. 

Begin laying the turf in a brick pattern, starting from a straight line such as a path, driveway or string line. For a polished look, roll the turf to firmly bed it against the moist soil. Water immediately after laying each section. Over the next two weeks, water the lawn twice a day to promote proper establishment.
